China trip 2016 was over
Back to life here in America
Where we complain about having nothing to eat even when our pantry is full.
Where we complain about having nothing to wear even when we have a closet with 25 different t-shirts.
Where we complain about it being too cold because the A/C is turned up too high.
When we complain that we are thirsty and want something to drink besides water.
But what about them?
What about all the kids I left behind
Who don't have enough food, or clothes, or A/C, or water.
What about them?
It's not fair.
We have so much and they have so little.
And I still after five years of going can't figure out why God gave me such an amazing life, when there are kids all across the world living the way they do.
And I don't think I ever will understand.
It's officially been one month since China.
One month since I've held Hunter.
One month since I've danced with Daisy.
One month since I've laughed with Sylas.
I really can't believe that it's been an entire month.
The theme for this years trip was "Love Needs No Translation"
If there's one thing I've learned from the China trips it's that you don't have to speak the same language to love someone.
I've actually learned a lot about love from Chenzhou
I've learned that love is not what you say but what you do
I've learned that love is putting other peoples needs before your own
I've learned that love is a choice
I've learned that love isn't always easy.
Because trust me, some of those kids at the orphanage are not easy to love
But then again neither are we
I've also learned that there are people all over the world that have never heard or seen the love of
Christ
And I thank God everyday that he has allowed me to be apart of his amazing plan in China
Because God doesn't need me to go
No, God allows me to go and share his love with the nations.
I believe that everyone should go on an overseas mission trip at least once in their lifetime.
Because trust me, it will change you
It will change the way you see love
There's something life changing about being away from your comfort zone
Something amazing is happening in Chenzhou
And I pray that more and more people will be able to be apart of it
Trust me, God can use some ordinary people in some extraordinary ways.
And that's exactly what he does with each person that says yes to going to Chenzhou.
He uses you, he changes you, and he shows you what love is.
Because Love Needs No Translation...
